A Meaningful Mission in Motion: Roth ID Tag at the 2025 Safe Kids NC Conference

We were proud to attend and participate in the 2025 Safe Kids North Carolina Conference, held this May in Concord, NC. The annual event brought together hundreds of dedicated professionals and volunteers from across the state, all united by a shared goal: protecting children from preventable injuries. From EMS personnel and firefighters to public health advocates and child safety educators, the atmosphere was charged with purpose and passion.

ROTH ID TAG’s mission aligns perfectly with that of Safe Kids North Carolina—empowering families and first responders with tools that save lives. The conference offered an incredible opportunity to share our story, learn from others on the front lines of child safety, and be part of a larger movement focused on prevention, education, and community collaboration.

Spotlight on Preparedness

One of the highlights of the event for our team was watching our founder, Lauren, take the stage to deliver a powerful presentation on the importance of accessible emergency contact and medical information.

Lauren shared the inspiration behind ROTH ID TAG — her own experience as a mother and advocate for child safety. In her talk, she emphasized a crucial, and often overlooked, element of emergency preparedness: having your child’s medical information and emergency contacts readily available in real-time, especially when seconds count.

“In an emergency, even the most prepared parents may not be able to speak for their child,” Lauren explained. “What if you’re unconscious after a car accident? What if your child is non-verbal or frightened? How will a first responder know about allergies, medical conditions, or who to call?”

The ROTH ID TAG was designed to solve this problem—providing a simple, durable, and easy-to-access way for children to carry critical information with them at all times. Whether attached to a car seat, backpack, bike helmet, or wheelchair, our tags ensure that essential data is right where it’s needed, when it’s needed most.

Lauren’s presentation sparked important conversations among attendees, many of whom had firsthand stories of emergencies where this type of tool could have made a difference. We were honored to contribute to the dialogue and provide solutions to professionals who work tirelessly to keep children safe.

Looking Ahead: Continued Commitment to Child Safety

The Safe Kids NC Conference reminded us just how many committed individuals are working behind the scenes to protect children in every corner of our state. We were inspired by the breakout sessions, keynote speakers, and innovative programs shared throughout the event—and we left more energized than ever to be part of this community.

Order Today

The ROTH ID TAG was created after tragedy struck our own family.

On December 23, 2022, Julie Roth, beloved wife and mother, was traveling with her two small children when they were caught up in a 47+ vehicle pile-up on the Ohio Turnpike. Julie and Edna Rose, the baby she was carrying, did not survive, but her two other children did.

Injured and afraid, Julie’s two toddlers waited many hours to see a familiar face while emergency responders worked to identify them and contact their father, who was at work. Thankfully, Ayla and Rory Roth are alive and well today. They are the true reason for the ROTH ID TAG™ creation.
