Kidz in Motion 2026: Creating a new standard for child passenger safety.

This year marks the third year ROTH ID TAG has exhibited at Kidz in Motion, the annual child passenger safety (CPS) conference known as the only international conference dedicated exclusively to child passenger safety. Kidz in Motion brings together professionals—including educators, researchers, manufacturers, first responders, and advocates—all committed to keeping children safe on the road.

As an exhibitor at Kidz in Motion, ROTH ID TAG had the opportunity to showcase our products and connect directly with attendees. In our third year, we’re no longer the “new kids on the block” and it was great to see so many familiar faces. Just a few years ago no one knew what a ROTH ID TAG was, and now we’re proud to say it was rare to meet someone who had not heard about our emergency contact identification systems for car seats.

This year was special because instead of hearing stories where emergency contact accessibility could have made a difference, we heard first-hand stories of situations where ROTH ID TAG did make a difference and even saved a child’s life (more details on these stories to come).

It was also great to visit with vendors we’ve become friends with and make friends with new ones. I have been a personal fan of Buckle Me Baby Coats for years and had a bit of a fan-girl moment getting to meet the founder, Dahlia. She is a female business owner and inventor who has paved the way for products that bridge major safety gaps and keep child passengers safe. I also met author Jenny Harty who was inspired by a horrific accident to write a book to inspire children to stay in their booster seats as long as possible. Her story is amazing, a mother lit from within she has been the driving force behind multiple laws to keep child passengers safe. She was kind enough to sign a copy of her book, Francie & Fitz Booster Buddies, and it instantly became a favorite for my son!

At the show we were excited to share information with attendees about our Community Partnership program and were even able to give away some free ROTH ID TAG Simple Kits. If you’re not familiar, the ROTH ID TAG Community Partnership Program is a network of organizations across the country that have agreed to help educate parents and first responders alike about how to safely use the ROTH ID TAG both as a caregiver and as a first responder in an emergency. We have over 1,000 first responders, government agencies, medical professionals, educators, and CPSTs included in the program who are the key to helping us make emergency contact accessibility on car seats a standard nationwide.

We are grateful to have been part of Kidz in Motion 2026 and look forward to applying everything we’ve learned. Most of all, we’re excited to continue building relationships with the passionate professionals who are making a difference every single day in child passenger safety.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the 2027 Kidz in Motion Conference!

The ROTH ID TAG was created after tragedy struck our own family.

On December 23, 2022, Julie Roth, beloved wife and mother, was traveling with her two small children when they were caught up in a 47+ vehicle pile-up on the Ohio Turnpike. Julie and Edna Rose, the baby she was carrying, did not survive, but her two other children did.

Injured and afraid, Julie’s two toddlers waited many hours to see a familiar face while emergency responders worked to identify them and contact their father, who was at work. Thankfully, Ayla and Rory Roth are alive and well today. They are the true reason for the ROTH ID TAG creation.
