ROTH ID TAG Community Partner Spotlight - Parker County Hospital District

We are proud to partner with Parker County Hospital District (PCHD) and grateful for their dedication to protecting children throughout their community.

At ROTH ID TAG, our mission is rooted in helping families protect their children—and we’re grateful for partners who bring that mission to life in their own communities. One exceptional example is the Parker County Hospital District (PCHD) in Weatherford, TX. Their dedication to child passenger safety is making a real difference across their county.

A Community-Focused Approach

Parker County Hospital District has established a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician program. As part of every car seat inspection or installation, they provide ROTH ID TAGS as an additional resource to support child safety. Since late 2024, Parker County Hospital District has distributed approximately 1,800 ROTH ID TAGS and 100 Traveler Tags. Parker County spans 903 square miles and is home to an estimated 44,343 residents under age 18, according to U.S. Census data. Of those, approximately 10,700 children are under the age of 5, representing their primary target population. By focusing their efforts on this group, they have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on child safety and emergency preparedness throughout their community.

Training First Responders and Beyond

After implementing the ROTH ID TAG program, Parker County Hospital District met with local law enforcement, fire department leadership, and EMS supervisors to introduce the program and its purpose. They also distributed educational materials and email communications outlining how to properly install ROTH ID TAGs and where first responders should look for them during an emergency. This helped increase awareness and encourage consistent recognition of ROTH ID TAGs across their local public safety agencies.

Extending Safety Education Throughout the Community

Parker County Hospital District (PCHD) operates the local EMS system and provides a variety of health programs throughout the community. Through their partnerships with school districts, nonprofit organizations, law enforcement, and public safety agencies, they recognize ROTH ID TAGS as a valuable tool to help give children “a voice” during an emergency. The tags can provide critical information to first responders, helping ensure children receive the appropriate care when they need it most.

Their dedication reflects the spirit of a quote shared by the department, one that captures the heart behind their efforts:

ROTH ID Tags can make a difference by providing peace of mind to parents and caregivers. This tag gives first responders immediate access to critical information during an emergency. When a child is unable to communicate, the tag helps ensure their name, emergency contacts, and important medical information are available when their voice needs to be heard most.

What is the ROTH ID TAG?

The ROTH ID TAG is a Universal Emergency Contact Identification System. A simple yet powerful tool that makes emergency contact information available in seconds when it matters most. Designed to attach to car seats, strollers, walkers, or any personal device, it ensures that emergency responders or good Samaritans can quickly contact a child’s caregiver in case of an accident or emergency.

ROTH ID TAG works with community entities to Keep Families Connected in Emergency Situations

We have joined forces with the Julie Roth Memorial Foundation to make ROTH ID TAG Systems available to the public through partnerships with government agencies, educators, CPSTs, hospitals / medical professionals, non-profit foundations, and more. We provide registered agencies and organizations with bulk discount pricing on ROTH ID TAG systems along with training resources to raise awareness of the need for everyone to make their emergency contact information available.

The ROTH ID TAG was created after tragedy struck our own family.

On December 23, 2022, Julie Roth, beloved wife and mother, was traveling with her two small children when they were caught up in a 47+ vehicle pile-up on the Ohio Turnpike. Julie and Edna Rose, the baby she was carrying, did not survive, but her two other children did.

Injured and afraid, Julie’s two toddlers waited many hours to see a familiar face while emergency responders worked to identify them and contact their father, who was at work. Thankfully, Ayla and Rory Roth are alive and well today. They are the true reason for the ROTH ID TAG creation.
