Thomasville Fire Rescue (TFR), was featured on WCTV-TV speaking about how they are informing and educating the community on the ROTH ID TAG™.
In an effort to make the tags easily accessible for the community, TFR is handing out free kits located at Thomasville Fire Rescue Station One, on 100 South Crawford Street. People can also request a kit online here
Thomasville Fire captain Mike Mann shared that these are crucial in the case of an emergency like an accident.
“Kind of hit close to home we’ve had a few people here that’s worked some accidents where the adults or guardians in the vehicle could not speak or just incapacitated,” Mann said. “We thought this would be a great program that we could push out and really boost out prevention division here.

The ROTH ID TAG was created after tragedy struck our own family.
On December 23, 2022, Julie Roth, beloved wife and mother, was traveling with her two small children when they were caught up in a 47+ vehicle pile-up on the Ohio Turnpike. Julie and Edna Rose, the baby she was carrying, did not survive, but her two other children did.
Injured and afraid, Julie’s two toddlers waited many hours to see a familiar face while emergency responders worked to identify them and contact their father, who was at work. Thankfully, Ayla and Rory Roth are alive and well today. They are the true reason for the ROTH ID TAG™ creation.
