At ROTH ID TAG, we believe that every child deserves a safe, comfortable place to sleep—and our founder and CEO, Lauren Crafton, took that belief beyond words and into action.

Lauren joined forces with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) and Lowe’s Companies, Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina to help build 5,000 beds in just 24 hours. This nationwide effort is part of SHP’s mission to ensure “No kid sleeps on the floor in our town.” With more than 2 million children in the U.S. estimated to sleep without a bed of their own, SHP works alongside volunteers and partners to build and deliver fully furnished beds to families in need.

From the moment the tools were handed out, Lauren was on the ground—cutting, sanding, and assembling alongside other volunteers. It wasn’t about titles or recognition—it was about showing up, getting your hands dirty, and making a tangible difference in children’s lives.

“Helping to build beds for kids in my own community was incredibly moving,” Lauren shared. “No child should have to sleep on the floor. Being part of this effort reminded me how important it is to give back, and how much we can accomplish when we come together for a common cause.”

For the ROTH ID TAG team, community service isn’t just an initiative—it’s part of our DNA and core values. We’re proud to support organizations like Sleep in Heavenly Peace that bring hope, comfort, and dignity to families across the country.

The ROTH ID TAG was created after tragedy struck our own family.

On December 23, 2022, Julie Roth, beloved wife and mother, was traveling with her two small children when they were caught up in a 47+ vehicle pile-up on the Ohio Turnpike. Julie and Edna Rose, the baby she was carrying, did not survive, but her two other children did.

Injured and afraid, Julie’s two toddlers waited many hours to see a familiar face while emergency responders worked to identify them and contact their father, who was at work. Thankfully, Ayla and Rory Roth are alive and well today. They are the true reason for the ROTH ID TAG™ creation.
