December 29, 2025 – Palmyra, Missouri
Palmyra Fire Protection District was recently featured on local news for partnering with and offering ROTH ID TAGs to local families.
The District chose to partner with ROTH ID TAG after an incident in which responders struggled to identify and reunite children with their families. That experience reinforced the importance of having clear, accessible identification readily available in emergencies.
In the article, they state:
“You wouldn’t know if you have a young child who is maybe allergic to something,” said Crane. “You’re at the hospital and the doctors are standing there going, ‘What? What do we do? How do we find out any information?’ This is just to expedite and speed this process up to help identifying who this child is that was just brought into the ER.”
Crane said Blessing Hospital helped fund the first distribution and the Marion County Ambulance District recently partnered to cover half the cost of another round of tags.

The ROTH ID TAG was created after tragedy struck our own family.
On December 23, 2022, Julie Roth, beloved wife and mother, was traveling with her two small children when they were caught up in a 47+ vehicle pile-up on the Ohio Turnpike. Julie and Edna Rose, the baby she was carrying, did not survive, but her two other children did.
Injured and afraid, Julie’s two toddlers waited many hours to see a familiar face while emergency responders worked to identify them and contact their father, who was at work. Thankfully, Ayla and Rory Roth are alive and well today. They are the true reason for the ROTH ID TAG creation.
