Willard Fire & Rescue Distributes ROTH ID TAGs at Community Events

ROTH ID TAG is proud to support Willard Fire & Rescue in their commitment to family and child safety. Together, we’re making a lasting impact, one tag at a time.

Willard Fire & Rescue, located in Willard, Ohio, is dedicated to protecting and supporting families in their community, not just through emergency response, but also through proactive safety initiatives. One way they’re doing this is by partnering with ROTH ID TAG™ to provide parents with a simple but powerful tool for child safety.

Willard Fire & Rescue was also recognized as a 2024 winner in the ROTH ID TAG Grand Giveaway, receiving 500 tags to distribute to families in their community. Since then, they’ve made the tags a regular part of their outreach, handing them out at local festivals and family-friendly events such as Downtown Spring Fest, summer music festivals, and their annual EMS Week Open House. At just one open house, the department distributed more than 100 ROTH ID TAGs to local families.

By sharing ROTH ID TAGs at these events, Willard Fire & Rescue is helping ensure that more children are protected in case of emergency—and strengthening the connection between first responders and the community they serve.

What is the ROTH ID TAG?

The ROTH ID TAG is a Universal Emergency Contact Identification System. A simple yet powerful tool that makes emergency contact information available in seconds when it matters most. Designed to attach to car seats, strollers, walkers, or any personal device, it ensures that emergency responders or good Samaritans can quickly contact a child’s caregiver in case of an accident or emergency.

ROTH ID TAG works with community entities to Keep Families Connected in Emergency Situations

We have joined forces with the Julie Roth Memorial Foundation to make ROTH ID TAG Systems available to the public through partnerships with government agencies, educators, CPSTs, hospitals / medical professionals, non-profit foundations, and more. We provide registered agencies and organizations with bulk discount pricing on ROTH ID TAG systems along with training resources to raise awareness of the need for everyone to make their emergency contact information available.

The ROTH ID TAG was created after tragedy struck our own family.

On December 23, 2022, Julie Roth, beloved wife and mother, was traveling with her two small children when they were caught up in a 47+ vehicle pile-up on the Ohio Turnpike. Julie and Edna Rose, the baby she was carrying, did not survive, but her two other children did.

Injured and afraid, Julie’s two toddlers waited many hours to see a familiar face while emergency responders worked to identify them and contact their father, who was at work. Thankfully, Ayla and Rory Roth are alive and well today. They are the true reason for the ROTH ID TAG creation.
