Iroquois County Sheriff’s Department Distributes ROTH ID TAGs at Local Fair
ROTH ID TAG is proud to partner with the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Department in their mission to serve, protect, and strengthen their community through proactive safety initiatives.
The Iroquois County Sheriff’s Department, located in Watseka, Illinois, has made community safety a priority both on and off duty. For the past two years, the department has partnered with ROTH ID TAG™ to bring lifesaving resources directly to families at the annual Iroquois County Fair.

Through their booth at the local Iroquois County Fair, the Sheriff’s Department has distributed ROTH ID TAGs—emergency identification tags designed to attach to a child’s car seat. The department has received strong feedback from the community, with parents, grandparents, and even fellow emergency service providers praising the distribution of the tags. One parent noted the reassurance the tags provide when traveling, while others expressed gratitude for the Sheriff’s Department’s commitment to child safety.
As the department itself shared: “Our Department is pleased to be able to distribute the ROTH ID TAGs to parents and grandparents in Iroquois County. In the event of a traumatic incident, we hope that the ID tags will more easily assist us in identifying emergency contacts and reuniting loved ones sooner.”
In 2024, the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Department was selected as a Grand Giveaway winner, receiving 100 ROTH ID TAGs to distribute to families across the county. Their dedication has ensured that local families now have an added layer of protection and peace of mind.

What is the ROTH ID TAG?
The ROTH ID TAG is a Universal Emergency Contact Identification System. A simple yet powerful tool that makes emergency contact information available in seconds when it matters most. Designed to attach to car seats, strollers, walkers, or any personal device, it ensures that emergency responders or good Samaritans can quickly contact a child’s caregiver in case of an accident or emergency.
ROTH ID TAG works with community entities to Keep Families Connected in Emergency Situations
We have joined forces with the Julie Roth Memorial Foundation to make ROTH ID TAG Systems available to the public through partnerships with government agencies, educators, CPSTs, hospitals / medical professionals, non-profit foundations, and more. We provide registered agencies and organizations with bulk discount pricing on ROTH ID TAG systems along with training resources to raise awareness of the need for everyone to make their emergency contact information available.

The ROTH ID TAG was created after tragedy struck our own family.
On December 23, 2022, Julie Roth, beloved wife and mother, was traveling with her two small children when they were caught up in a 47+ vehicle pile-up on the Ohio Turnpike. Julie and Edna Rose, the baby she was carrying, did not survive, but her two other children did.
Injured and afraid, Julie’s two toddlers waited many hours to see a familiar face while emergency responders worked to identify them and contact their father, who was at work. Thankfully, Ayla and Rory Roth are alive and well today. They are the true reason for the ROTH ID TAG creation.
