Reflecting on FDIC International 2025: Connecting with First Responders in Indianapolis
We’re back from FDIC International 2025, and it was an incredible week of conversations, connections, and meaningful moments with first responders, fire, and EMS professionals from across the country. Held in Indianapolis, Indiana, FDIC is one of the most respected fire service conferences in the world, and we were proud to attend as a vendor to showcase the ROTH ID TAG.
Over the course of the week, more than 36,000 attendees filled the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. For us, the highlight was meeting with the dedicated men and women on the front lines—hearing their stories, answering questions, and sharing how our identification tag is helping improve safety during emergency situations involving children.
One thing that stood out during our time at FDIC was the genuine interest and excitement around our product. Many first responders, including a few notable ones, all love ROTH ID TAG! Our small but powerful features resonated with professionals who know how chaotic emergency scenes can be—and how vital it is to keep children identified and connected to their information throughout the response process.

Jason Patton from Fire Department Chronicles stopped by and said “I love it!” in response to the ROTH ID TAG. As a prodominent leader in the Fire & EMS industries, it was great to meet him and share a few laughs. We also got to taste his Fire Dept. Coffee and it was really good!

Seeing another female business owner in a male dominant industry is always fun and it was truly great to meet Tina Guiler from Triple F – Fierce Female Firefighters! Not only was it fun to dress as a firefighter, but it was awesome to hear about Triple F’s plush dolls created to inspire and empower kids!

The Salty Paramedic made a point to stop by our booth and checked out the ROTH ID TAG. He offers up some of the best First Responder entertainment and it was great to finally meet him. He has a book for first responders to maintain good mental health in an extremely tough job.
We had dozens of conversations with firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics who told us how our tag could make a real difference in their communities. They shared valuable feedback, asked great questions, and gave us new ideas for expanding our reach. It was both humbling and energizing to hear how a simple, thoughtfully designed tag can help protect the most vulnerable in a crisis.
Our mission is to educate as many First Responders about the ROTH ID TAG and how it is an integral tool in child passenger safety. Education is key. We want every firefighter, EMS professional, and emergency responder to know exactly what the ROTH ID TAG is, how it works, and how to respond when they see a child wearing one. Whether it’s during a car crash, a fire evacuation, or a mass casualty event, these tags are designed to bridge the gap when parents aren’t immediately available to speak for their child.
FDIC 2025 gave us the perfect platform to spread that message. We left the conference with deeper connections in the first responder community and a renewed commitment to supporting the people who work tirelessly to protect others.

To everyone who stopped by our booth—thank you. Your insights and enthusiasm fuel our mission. And if you didn’t get a chance to connect with us in person, we’d love to talk. Visit our website to learn more, request samples, or find out how to introduce ROTH ID TAGs to your department.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s event—but in the meantime, we’re hitting the ground running to make sure first responders everywhere know how our tags can make a life-saving difference.

The ROTH ID TAG was created after tragedy struck our own family.
On December 23, 2022, Julie Roth, beloved wife and mother, was traveling with her two small children when they were caught up in a 47+ vehicle pile-up on the Ohio Turnpike. Julie and Edna Rose, the baby she was carrying, did not survive, but her two other children did.
Injured and afraid, Julie’s two toddlers waited many hours to see a familiar face while emergency responders worked to identify them and contact their father, who was at work. Thankfully, Ayla and Rory Roth are alive and well today. They are the true reason for the ROTH ID TAG™ creation.
